Hit the showers Belardi, Buffon’s back! (no pun intended)

Fresh off of our Coppa Italia dismissal, the Bianconeri square off against the basement boys of Serie A in our Sunday fixture against Cagliari. Fresh off of their last minute victory against Napoli, the Rossoblu are riding that proverbial wave of momentum into this one along with a little bit more of my respect. You see, by taking all three points from Napoli, Cagliari managed to square an uneven points debt that had been established earlier this season after Juventus was thwarted by Napoli’s superficial aerial-acrobatics. So, for never giving up and in the process levelling some unfinished business of ours, I give you credit, and thanks. There, I’ve said my peace. Now Cagliari, i’m afraid you must die.

Get To Know Momo

February 13th, 2008

Everyone meet Momo, Momo meet everyone. It’s officially official! Momo Sissoko has been presented to the media and has taken his ceremonious photograph with Juventus’ Managing Director Claude Jean-Blanc and President Coboli Gigli. However there wasn’t much time to celebrate as the chartered private jet Juventus sent to pick up the Mali international two days ago in Ghana, returned Sissoko earlier today to join his team’s effort against Didier Drogba’s Ivory Coast in Group B action. The game has ended, and Mali are knocked out. But more importantly as I watched this match, I’m proud to announce that I have compiled the world’s quickest scouting report.

All for one, and one for alllllllllll!!!!!Reports out of Italy are confirming the signing the Momo Sissoko and Olef Mellberg this morning. Momo has apparently signed a contract for four and half seasons that will see him at Juventus until June of 2012. Liverpool will be given 11 million euros up front, while another 2 million euros in cash will be forked over by the Old Lady after the Mali international completes an unknown number of appearances. The 23 year-old will reportedly recieve 2.5 million a season. On our defensive front, Juventus have acquired two one helping hand as Lazio’s Stendardo will join Juventus effective immediately until he makes way for Aston Villa’s Olof Mellberg come July.

Dry those eyes Sissoko, we don’t mean all those harsh wordsFielding a starting eleven for this one was no easy task. Yet, you just knew with the atmosphere being what it has always been when these two teams get together, those who got the nod for either squad would be playing some spirited football. Or at least thats what Ranieri was hoping for as he had received notice prior to the game that Buffon, Nedved and Salihams were all declared unfit to play, adding to our already almost humorous list of absentees this match. Shall I go over it again? No, I shouldn’t. What I will do though is tell you of another possible season ending injury we picked up on Wednedsay. Yay! I’m just gonna ram my head through my television screen now. Oh well, cheer up Juventini. We did in fact manage to score some away goals in our tie against Inter. Also, it looks as if Tiago’s departure is guaranteed to happen in the next few days. Plus, you know what? Sissoko is gonna do great with us at Juventus (oh boy how am I gonna spin this one). More after the jump.
